Good Harbor Vista LLC respects the privacy of the organizations and individuals who visit our website, contact us, or participate in the Good Harbor Vista Nonprofit Website Program.

This Privacy Policy explains the information we may collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • name;
  • organization name;
  • email address;
  • phone number;
  • mailing address;
  • nonprofit or tax-exempt status;
  • Employer Identification Number (EIN);
  • information about your organization, programs, services, goals, audiences, and website needs;

  • files or documents you choose to upload, including nonprofit verification materials such as an IRS determination letter;
  • project communications, approvals, feedback, and support requests;
  • agreement, billing, and payment-related information associated with a Good Harbor Vista project.

Please do not submit passwords, payment-card numbers, highly confidential information, or other sensitive credentials through general website forms unless Good Harbor Vista specifically instructs you to use an approved secure method.

2. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, our website, hosting provider, security tools, or other technical services may automatically collect limited technical information such as:

  • IP address;
  • browser and device information;
  • operating system;
  • date and time of access;
  • pages viewed;
  • referring or exit pages;
  • website activity and diagnostic information;
  • security, performance, and error logs.

This information may be used to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the website.

3. How We Use Information

Good Harbor Vista may use information we collect to:

  • respond to questions and Contact-form submissions;

  • verify nonprofit or tax-exempt status;
  • evaluate project fit and scope;
  • communicate about inquiries, projects, agreements, payments, and ongoing Website Stewardship;
  • prepare project strategy, production briefs, website content, and related project materials;
  • create and maintain client and project records;
  • send intake forms, project communications, reminders, and service-related notices;

  • improve Good Harbor Vista services and internal operations.

We do not use information submitted through a project inquiry merely to create an automatic contractual relationship. Project acceptance is subject to Good Harbor Vista’s qualification and approval process.

4. Nonprofit Verification Information

Organizations applying to or participating in the Good Harbor Vista Nonprofit Website Program may be asked to provide an EIN, claimed nonprofit or tax-exempt status, and optional supporting documentation.

Good Harbor Vista uses this information to determine eligibility and complete the nonprofit verification process.

An uploaded determination letter or other supporting document is used for verification and project administration. We do not intentionally make those documents public unless the client separately provides or approves information for publication.

5. Service Providers and Business Systems

Good Harbor Vista uses third-party service providers and business systems to operate its website and provide services.

Depending on the nature and stage of an inquiry or project, information may be processed through services used for functions such as:

  • website hosting and WordPress operation;
  • customer relationship management;
  • workflow automation;
  • email and business communications;
  • electronic agreements and signatures;
  • payment processing;
  • accounting and financial administration;
  • file storage and document collaboration;
  • security, backup, and technical monitoring.

These providers may process information on Good Harbor Vista’s behalf as necessary to provide their services.

Good Harbor Vista does not sell personal information to advertisers.

6. Payments

Good Harbor Vista may use third-party payment processors to collect project payments and recurring Website Stewardship charges.

Payment-card information is generally entered directly into the payment processor’s systems rather than stored by Good Harbor Vista through general website forms.

The payment processor’s handling of payment information is governed by its own privacy and security practices.

7. Agreements and Electronic Signatures

Good Harbor Vista may use an electronic-document or electronic-signature provider to prepare, send, sign, and retain Client Agreements and related documents.

Information supplied for those agreements may be processed and retained through that provider as necessary to complete the transaction and maintain appropriate records.

8. Email and Communications

If you contact Good Harbor Vista, submit a form, or become a client, we may communicate with you by email or other appropriate means.

Service-related communications may include:

  • inquiry acknowledgments;
  • qualification or intake communications;
  • project updates;
  • agreement and payment notices;
  • review or approval requests;
  • launch information;
  • Website Stewardship notices;
  • support communications.

These operational communications are different from optional marketing communications.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Good Harbor Vista website may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for basic website operation, security, administration, or performance.

If Good Harbor Vista later introduces nonessential advertising, behavioral tracking, or similar technology, this Privacy Policy and any applicable consent mechanisms should be updated accordingly.

10. How We Share Information

  • when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, security, property, or operations of Good Harbor Vista, our clients, or others;
  • in connection with a business reorganization, merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not sell personal information for advertising purposes.

11. Data Retention

Good Harbor Vista retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including:

  • evaluating inquiries;
  • completing projects;
  • maintaining client relationships;
  • providing Website Stewardship;
  • maintaining business, financial, agreement, and project records;
  • resolving disputes;
  • meeting legal, accounting, tax, security, and operational requirements.

Information that is no longer reasonably needed may be deleted, anonymized, or retained in secure backups until those backups expire through normal processes.

12. Security

Good Harbor Vista uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, misuse, or disclosure.

No website, email system, cloud service, or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, however.

If you believe information you provided to Good Harbor Vista may have been compromised, please contact us promptly.
