No. A 501(c)(3) designation is not required. However, your organization must have legitimate nonprofit or tax-exempt status that Good Harbor Vista can verify.

No. Every inquiry is reviewed for eligibility, verification, project fit, scope, and capacity before acceptance into the program.

We’ll let you know directly and respectfully. A project may not be accepted because of eligibility, verification, scope, capacity, technical fit, or whether Good Harbor Vista can responsibly deliver what the organization needs.

Good Harbor Vista provides $7,500 in in-kind professional services, allowing the nonprofit organization to make a $2,500 client investment toward a website with a professional project value of $10,000.

The goal is to make high-quality professional web work more accessible to smaller nonprofits without treating the project as a reduced-quality or discount service.

The client investment is divided into two payments:

• $1,250 at agreement
• $1,250 after final approval and before production launch

Website Stewardship is the ongoing technical care of your website after launch.

It is $100 per month, billed monthly in advance beginning at production launch.

Stewardship includes managed hosting, backups, WordPress updates, security monitoring, performance oversight, and routine technical support within the Stewardship scope.

Yes. Client ownership of the website content and project deliverables is preserved as defined in the Good Harbor Vista Client Agreement.

Website Stewardship provides ongoing technical care and hosting; it does not mean Good Harbor Vista owns your organization’s website identity.

Your organization should retain ownership of its domain name.

Good Harbor Vista receives the access necessary to connect and manage the website, but domain ownership and renewal normally remain with the client.

Your email remains separate from the website.

Good Harbor Vista takes care to preserve existing email service while integrating the domain correctly with the new website. We do not automatically move or take over your organization’s email service.

No. They work together, but they are separate services.

Your organization typically owns and renews its domain name and maintains its email service separately. Good Harbor Vista builds the website and provides managed hosting as part of Website Stewardship.

That is completely normal.

We’ll review what you currently have and determine what should be preserved, improved, migrated, or replaced. The goal is not to discard functioning systems unnecessarily.

Good Harbor Vista’s production architecture is WordPress-based, so we’ll evaluate your existing setup and plan the safest transition to the new site.

We can evaluate the existing hosting environment and determine whether it can safely support the website. The appropriate hosting arrangement depends on the organization’s current technical environment and project needs.

Good Harbor Vista is designed to move more efficiently than a traditional agency process, but every project still includes planning, production, client review, quality assurance, accessibility checks, and launch preparation.

Timing depends on your organization’s readiness, content, technical access, scope, and responsiveness. We’ll establish an appropriate project timeline once we understand your needs.

We’ll need information about your organization, goals, audience, programs or services, current website, content, branding, and any relevant technical access.

Our intake process is designed to gather most of what we need and to help identify any remaining items.

The standard Good Harbor Vista program includes two review rounds plus a final correction pass.

This gives your organization meaningful opportunity to review the work while helping the project continue moving forward efficiently.

Material changes in scope or direction may require additional authorization and may fall outside the original project agreement.

We’ll communicate with you before proceeding with work that materially changes the approved project.

Yes.

Accessibility is built into how Good Harbor Vista designs and develops websites. Our standard target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

We address accessibility through the underlying design, structure, content, forms, keyboard behavior, contrast, and development rather than relying on an accessibility overlay as a substitute for accessible implementation.

The website moves into Good Harbor Vista Website Stewardship.

We continue handling the technical side of the site, including hosting, backups, updates, monitoring, security, performance oversight, and routine support.

Website Stewardship begins with a 12-month initial commitment starting at production launch.

After the initial commitment, Stewardship continues month-to-month with 30 days’ notice, according to the Client Agreement.
